Shift: 12:00pm-8:00pm Weekdays and 8:00am-8:00pm Weekends. Rotating weekends

Job Description

  • Identifies and documents maladaptive behavioral issues / concerns through observation of residents and review of individual records, in addition to the accumulation, summarization, and review of relevant data as necessary
  • Develops, implements, and monitors PMI / mental illness programs to decrease maladaptive behaviors
  • Reviews, demonstrates, and instructs appropriate team members in the implementation and documentation of established behavioral programs and intervention strategies
  • Assists with the general supervision of the unit in compliance with protocols established by the care center
  • Provide services that seek to create a safe and secure environment.
  • Undertake activities designed to identify, deter, abate, or correct situations, both routine and emergent, that are within the scope of responsibility as they occur.
  • Provide continuous professional and therapeutic presence in the unit.
  • Ensure client, visitor and staff safety.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedure

 

Qualifications

  • Psychology/Human Services-related degree or a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience working with the mentally ill, utilizing behavior management strategies and techniques
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
